SARA CUBERO, 26yo, from Spain.
From the very first moment I arrived in Trbovlje, I felt that it was a welcoming, peaceful, and charming town. I feel safe and truly happy here; time seems to pass more slowly, and there is a sense of calm that helps you escape the noise and stress of big-city life.
In addition, the people are very polite, kind, and always willing to help. My volunteering experience here has been truly amazing, full of learning opportunities and special moments that I will never forget.

NADA ABUSULTAN, 23yo, Italy.
I like Trbovlje, it’s a very nice city surrounded by nature and fresh air, where you can either walk, hike, or just sit and chill.
The people here look friendly and welcoming. I’m looking forward to spending my volunteering time here!

ELIOTT LENEUF, 22yo, FRANCE
Trbovlje is a very peaceful city surrounded by nature. When I first came to that city, I thought I was a tiny mouse because of how big the hills around the city were.
I feel very safe here, especially as a queer person. Slovenes are, from my foreign point of view, free from judgment, very friendly, and will not hesitate to help you if needed. They’re super extra chill except in the grocery shop, when they are unstoppable. Don’t be in their way if you don’t want to be pushed into the tomato boxes!

FIONA MONSOREZ, FRANCE, 22yo.
I feel good being here; the people are polite and friendly. The town is quiet. I also appreciate the surrounding nature. I feel welcomed; there’s a lot of warmth.

VANESSA LONČINA, SLOVENIA, 19 yo.
I am a very kind, hardworking, and trustworthy person. I always do my best in everything I do, and I enjoy helping others. I value honesty, respect, and dedication, and I always try to bring positive energy to my surroundings.
Trbovlje is a town that I like very much because it feels pleasant, peaceful, and welcoming. I enjoy its atmosphere and the people there, which makes it a special place for me.
