No.11: Ljubljana
Activities/sightseeing spots:
Ljubljana`s Castle
When you visit the castle of Ljubljana you have the choice to visit it with or without audio guide. Another nice advantage of visiting Ljubljana`s castle is that you have a great view over whole Ljubljana`s city centre.
Central market
On one side of the river Ljubljanica you can find a market. For me the market is a special one. Because besides fruits and vegetables you can also find art, souvenirs etc.
BTC
The shopping center BTC is a while outside of Ljubljana. You can easily reach it with the Bus. I, personally, really enjoyed BTC. For me it is something special, because besides the classical shopping center with a lot of stores inside, as it`s common, you can find a lot of stores separated. For me this gives me the feeling of an own little town. BTC`s square is really huge and you can find almost every store that you can think of!
Ljubljanas trampoline hall
Next to BTC you can find a huge trampoline hall, which you can enjoy.
Museum of illusions
In the Museum of illusions you can find a lot of art, etc. that will confuse your senses.
Café Cacao
The Café Cacao has to have a place for me in this travel report, because it is really great. When I visited Ljubljana I always went into this Café. The high amount of guest shows you how popular the Café is. It is not just because of its awesome drinks and cakes, also the atmosphere in Cacao is great!
My personal opinion/ summary
You should really visit Ljubljana once in your lifetime. I expected Ljubljana to be a nice city, but not this great. The spirit of the city and the beautiful pink and white buildings make the city perfect. When you walk through Ljubljana you just have the feeling like everything is clean and tidy. In this report about Ljubljana I just listed up the things that are really interesting to me, but the city has much more to offer!
